FAQ

Is Serana 21+?

Yes. We ask that all guests staying at Serana are 21+. For full property rentals, we do make exceptions. Please reach out to discuss.

Are your glamping tents & Kampinas off grid?

Our Kampinas have electricity! There are plugs to charge your devices, plus central heating & cooling. While the glamping tents do not have electricity, they do have wood burning stoves for those chilly nights and firewood is included. We also provide portable lanterns and phone chargers in the tents to make sure your bases are covered.

Are you pet friendly?

Yes! We welcome pets and request that pets are kept on a leash - this is an ask from our neighboring cows. Please do not leave pets unattended at anytime. Pet fee is $25 charged via Airbnb.

What's the bathroom and shower situation?

We have a brand new bathhouse with four private rooms. Each room has a toilet, shower, sink, and a space to store toiletries and clothes while you're using the facility. We also have outdoor rainwater showers. Both are conveniently located a short 1-2 minute walk from the tents and Kampinas.

Where do I park?

When you first pull into Serana, the parking lot is immediately to your right. All glamping tents & Kampinas are a 1-2 minute walk from the parking lot, and there is a wagon in the parking lot that you can use to help transport your belongings.

What's supplied in the communal kitchen?

Our communal area has a fully stocked outdoor kitchen & dining area. There is a BBQ gas grill, Traeger grill, cooktop, fridge, freezer, and all the cookware you need to cook a delicious meal.

What time is check in and out?

Check in begins at 4 PM (you can check in at any time after) and check out is at 11 AM. All Kampinas have a keyless entry and you will be provided with the door code upon booking. If you booked a tent, you can access it directly.

What is the cancellation policy?

Bookings via Airbnb are fully refundable up to 30 days prior to the reservation. If booked fewer than 30 days before check-in, full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 days before check-in. After that, 50% refund up to 7 days before check-in. Serana won't be able to refund your payment if you cancel your booking less than 7 days prior.

Will there be someone at Serana to help if I need it?

Yes, we live on location and are available until 9PM. We’re here to make your stay more enjoyable, so please don’t hesitate to reach out and let us know if you need anything.

Do you provide coffee & tea?

Yes! You’ll find everything you need to brew a fresh cup of coffee or tea in our communal kitchen. Hot water, tea, coffee grounds, french presses, coffee maker, and mugs are available for all guests.

Can I have a bonfire?

Serana adheres to local burn ban regulations. If there is not a burn ban in effect, we have a large communal bonfire pit for all guests to enjoy! Each Kampina & glamping tent also have their own personal gas firepit that may be used even in times of a burn ban.

Will my cell phone work?

Yes. We have found that AT&T and Verizon have the most reliable service.

What should I pack?

Pack what you would for a weekend outside, though we've got the big things covered (bedding, towels, cookware, grills). You may want to bring closed-toe shoes, a headlamp, refillable water bottles and a swimsuit. We recommend traveling with backpacks and duffles as you will be walking from your car to Kampina or tent. Be sure to check the weather before arriving and pack accordingly for all weather conditions. But not to worry, our tents & Kampinas are fully weatherized and are capable of handling common rainstorms!

Is there wifi?

No! At Serana we believe connecting with those around us and exploring the great outdoors is invaluable. For this reason, we do not have any WiFi at our location.

Do the tents have electricity?

Just like camping, there are no outlets in the tent which means no mini fridge or coffee maker. However, there are battery powered lanterns and portable USB chargers so you can charge at least 2 cell phones.

Will I have someplace to store my food?

Yes! Each cabin and tent have a dry food storage bin. We ask that you are careful about storing excess food, as invasive fire ants are a serious issue in Central Texas.

Are meals provided?

No, we do not provide food for guests at this time. We do encourage guests to bring food to cook at their own leisure. We have grills, propane stove tops, fire pits, and a fridge available to all guests.
